LO4- P5/D2
These two audio files are off our first attempt at recording our radio programme. They were both recorded on a phone and in these, we try to understand how to act and talk between each other in a natural way.
This was good practise for when we recorded our programme on actual recording devices which were the H6 Handy recorder, it was good practice because we knew how to conduct ourselves and if we messed up slightly we would know how to deal with the situation.

D2- The beginning is clear as we have an intro jingle that introduces the radio and then each person who speaks formally introduces themselves. We made sure we did this to make sure anyone listening knows who is speaking. The strengths of our show was that all our voices were clear and loud as we were all close enough to the mic but not too close that the audio would crackle and mess up, I added jingles and made audio fade in and out when the advert and music was played to help the radio run more smoothly. I would say the weakness was that we wasn't able to have multiple microphones meaning that everyone was cramped around 1 microphone this made it run less smoothly and it made the audio sound less natural and showed that it was clearly scripted. If we were make another radio show I would have a more flexible script to make it more of an engaging conversation and I would have a mic per person so that its more comfy recording but doing this we would need a mixing console like a 'Axia iQ AoIP Mixing Console'
to connect all the microphones to, the reason I chose this mixing console is because its very easy to use and its connected to the computer digitally meaning that its very portable and all you need to do is connect the mics to the console and you can have up to 4 mics on one console.
I would also get a microphone processor to make the audio sound more grand and professional, a microphone processor cleans up your signal as it clears back ground noise and gets rid of harsh S's, but if this equipment wasn't in budget you could use logic pro x and get rid of these using certain edits.
