LO1- Comparison of presentation styles

 Chris Moyles Radio X

In this radio interview Liam Gallagher is more dominating during the interview and he is given more time to answer his questions. It also feels more formal with the presenter talking very politely and calm. I think this radio station is targeted towards Millennials and younger adults who grew up listening Oasis and are now adults who have jobs. Oasis was a very popular band during the 90s and so to appeal to the millennial audience, they featured him on an interview and used language that was laid back and easy to understand.

Charlie sloth from BBC 1 extra
In this interview, Charlie Sloth is trying to appeal to a young teen audience by being loud, energetic and dominating during the interview. This is to capture the attention of the audience and make sure they do not get bored. This is because the attention span in young audiences is very fast and they can become bored very easily. Also, the dialect and language he uses is similar to what young teens in the black community would stereotypically speak like. This is to appeal to UK rap fans and fans of Black culture.
he is very loud, energetic, and amped up and talks very fast and uses language to appeal to a younger audience of teens and adults.
He is very dominating in the interviews and pushes the interviewee to answer his questions

Radio BBC 1
This news sections is told very fast and concise and includes upbeat music with fast and loud transitions that interlude with each section of the news. This is all done to keep the attention of its younger audience and to ensure they do not get bored and turn onto another station.
the news is told with upbeat music playing in the background and has high energy .
The news was told quite fast and given in concise parts. It is about three minutes as they just want to give you the information and move on.

Radio BBC 4
The presenter was talking very slowly and took nearly three minutes to finish, This is because the target audience is much older and would have a less busy schedule, probably listening to the radio while in their house or garden. In the time it takes for BBC 1 to finish there news section, the presenter in BBC 4 is still talking about the same topic. This could also allow us to infer that their audience is much more smarter and can listen to a single subject. This is also backed up by their dialect and language.

Radio 5 Dwayne the rock Johnson interview
This one is more laid back and professional and less structured. The rock is given a lot more time to answer his questions
Radio 1 interview with The Rock
It more fun and feels more like a conversation between friends. They are joking about and making names for each other. This is something that young audiences would enjoy more.
